Our Vision and Goals

ISTQB® (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) was founded in November 2002 with its global headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. It has become the world-wide leader in the certification of competencies in software testing having over 400,000 certificates issued to professionals who gained competency in testing.

Bangladesh Software Testing Board (BSTB) is a professional network dedicated to elevating the standards of software testing. We are a hub for aspiring and certified software quality professionals, passionate about building a world-class testing workforce and positioning Bangladesh as a global leader in quality assurance services.

ISTQB Training

BSTB Bangladesh has 6 authorized ISTQB Training Provider. They conduct different Training and follow the ISTQB Syllabus Accordingly. BSTB monitor and regulate their activity regularly.

ISTQB Exams

ISQi is the authorized exam provider for BSTB. They conduct examinations both online and offline (paper-based). To appear for an exam, students must confirm their registration directly with ISQi.

BSTB Accredited Training Provider and Exam Provider confirm ISTQB Certifications

ISTQB Certifications offer International recognition of acquired competencies and skills, Authorized to use the “Certified Tester” logo (specifying the level of certification) and Whole career path support, from Foundation to Expert level.

ISTQB Foundation CTFL

The Foundation Level qualification is aimed at professionals who need to demonstrate practical knowledge of the fundamental concepts of software testing. This includes people in roles such as test designers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and IT Professionals.

The Foundation Level qualification is also appropriate for anyone who needs a basic understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants.

ISTQB Advanced Level CTAL

The Advanced Level qualification is aimed at people who have achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers.

This Advanced Level qualification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants.

To receive Advanced Level certification, candidates must hold the Foundation Certificate and satisfy the Exam Board which examines them that they have sufficient practical experience to be considered Advanced Level qualified.

Refer to the relevant Exam Board to understand their specific practical experience criteria.

Advanced Level Modules

The Advanced Level has three Syllabi within the Core part:

A specific exam and certification is available for each of the three modules.

When a Certified tester successfully achieves certification on all three modules, he receives a “Full Advanced” certificate. Moreover, ISTQB® is developing Advanced Level syllabi and exams for the Agile stream and for the Specialist stream.

ISTQB Agile Extension

Agile testing is a relatively new approach to software testing that follows the principles of agile software development as outlined in the Agile Manifesto.

A tester on an Agile project will work differently than one working on a traditional project. Testers must understand the values and principles that underpin Agile projects, and how testers are an integral part of a whole-team approach together with developers and business representatives.

There is a lot of confusion concerning agile testing – which means there’s an educational opportunity as well. The Agile Extension will give the tester the knowledge to be part of agile testing teams and achieve high performance.
